Elizabeth says “We had a wonderful stay at Stonecutter’s Cottage and only wish we could have stayed longer. Phil and Valerie were excellent hosts and provided us with tons of information on things to do in the area and great places to eat. We arrived to find a welcome package of coffee, tea, bread and butter for breakfast. The cottage itself is lovingly restored and filled with beautiful antiques. The location is ideal for exploring Clare, Doolin, The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher are all very close. The cottage is very peaceful and has a lovely view; one evening we were treated to a brilliant July sunset. We highly recommend Stonecutter’s Cottage.”

Zoe says “Stonecutter's Cottage was a beautiful place from which to experience Doolin! The home was cosy and wonderfully maintained, with a lovely kitchen and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Its location was great for getting into Doolin itself and also for heading to the Cliffs. Phil was very kind in helping us to get settled and we appreciated him meeting us when we arrived.”

Petra says "We spent three days at Red Cottage and we fell in love with this cottage. It's so beautiful, it is even better then in the photos. It's like from fairy tale. Phil and Val are so nice couple which were so helpful. It's five minutes’ drive from cottage to Cliffs of Moher. I can just recommend this place. Thanks to Phil and Val!

Xervin says “Lovely cottage in a beautiful tranquil spot of Ireland within short distance of many beautiful spots such as Aran Islands, The Burren National Park and of course the Cliffs of Moher. We would like to thank Phil & Valerie for this lovely stay in their sweet refurbished cottage.”

Marcus saysEven before our journey we got great instructions about this lovely cottage. At our arrival Phil welcomed us and gave great instructions about the property and the facilities. Everything was at least as good as written in the description. Many nice features made our stay a wonderful stay. Be it the iron oven where some starter wood was prepared, be it the vintage furniture throughout the cottage and also the nice remote surroundings. Additionally this place was 5 min drive away from Cliffs of Moher, so we could wait for the best weather. Phil and Valerie are amazing hosts and helped us with every question that came up. We would definitely stay again!”

Hildreth saysStaying at the Stonecutter's Cottage was a great end to our Ireland trip. The cottage gives you a sense of the past and was exactly what we were hoping for in our stay. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean and well- equipped with a roomy, cheerful kitchen. The cottage sits atop a hill with just a few other cottages/ houses nearby and a totally unobstructed, lovely view in the front. Phil and Valerie were easy to communicate with and sent a very thorough, much appreciated, packet of information about the cottage and area before we arrived. Phil met us at check-in and made sure we knew how everything worked. We would definitely like to return to Doolin and stay at the Stonecutter's Cottage.”

Peter says “This cottage was as beautiful in reality as it was on the Web and we felt welcome as soon as we pushed open the shiny red gate, Phil greeted us and made sure we knew how everything in the cottage worked so we were able to settle in quickly and feel really at home. It was superbly clean but still felt lived in. It is exposed above Doolin but we were warm and cosy. Phil and Valerie left lots of advice about what to see and do in the area so we made the most of our short stay. Many thanks.”

Ailbhe says "We had such an amazing time at the cottage. It was just a perfect weekend with great memories and we would love to come back some time if you will have us, thanks again!"
