The dramatic ocean and Burren views are why you will love White Waves Cottage. On the Wild Atlantic Way road to the Cliffs of Moher, White Waves Cottage is a fabulous, fully renovated and extended, traditional cottage with breathtakingly beautiful views. On a clear day you can see forever. On a stormy Irish day you’ll see why we call it “White Waves” cottage.
White Waves Cottage is the restored cottage that belonged to the renowned traditional Irish musican, Micho Russell. He was famous for his part in the revival of traditional Irish music and is one of the reasons for Doolin village’s world-wide fame.
The cottage has three-ensuite bedrooms and has been fully restored. It enjoys unrivalled view over the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. It is located on the Cliffs of Moher Road and within easy distance of Doolin, Lahinch and Liscannor.
Originally the home of the famous Irish musicians Miko and Packie Russell, the Cottage has been fully modernised whilst retaining an old-world charm, including a flagstone roof and extensive stonework. You will feel like you have stepped back in time, but with all mod-cons in a beautifully restored and exquisitely furnished surroundings.
The original cottage has been converted into three ensuite double bedrooms. An extension on the seaward side of the cottage houses the lounge, kitchen and dining area with the large windows offering spectacular views across to the Atlantic ocean to the Aran Islands, the coast of Galway, Connemara and The Burren.
The lounge has three sofas arranged to face the view and around a stone fireplace and wood burning stove.
From the kitchen there are sliding doors to a patio with wooden bench and table seating so you can soak up the view.
